‘Rats everywhere’: Reviewers crush Altoona, Pa., McDonald’s after tip on suspect in CEO’s killing

A trip from a Pennsylvania McDonald’s led to the arrest of a suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO, and the internet wasn’t lovin’ it.
McDonald’s restaurants in Altoona, Pennsylvania, are getting pounded with one-star reviews and derisive remarks on Yelp, Google and other public-review sites in the wake of the arrest of Luigi Mangione in last week’s shooting death of Brian Thompson.

“More like Narc-donalds…. I hope obesity and heart disease are in-network in PA. Deny, defend, depose, diarrhea @ McDonald’s,” one user at Google wrote, according to a compilation of reactions at Latin Times.

“Deny, defend, depose” is a popular online formulation accusing health-insurance companies of murdering people by blocking access to health care. The man who killed Mr. Thompson scrawled it on the bullets he fired into him.
