Machete used for bridge scene in ‘Indiana Jones’ movie up at auction

A distinct machete used during the rope bridge scene in 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” will be sold at auction this month by Julien’s Auctions in California.
The machete is 42 inches long and curved, made primarily of steel, with hand-painted details on both sides of the grip.

Unlike the other machetes used on-screen during the movie, the machete going to auction appeared only during the rope bridge confrontation between Harrison Ford’s titular protagonist and cultists. It is also designed slightly differently.
