Bill Gates Confronted Over His Private Jet Use

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has claimed his climate change activism does not conflict with his usage of private jets.

During an interview with the BBC last Friday, broadcaster Amol Rajan confronted Bill Gates about why people should take his climate activism seriously, given he flies private all over the world.

Gates argued it was okay for him to fly private, and he was part of the solution, not the problem.

“Well, I buy the gold standard, of funding Climeworks, to do direct air capture that far exceeds my family’s carbon footprint,” Gates said.
